BelAfrique started this year with a big bang, before our food & the delicious wines of the festive holidays could properly digest, we were already Wining & dinning elsewhere.This time, one of our Incentive groups took us to Phinda Game Reserve. My personal favorite Safari lodge in Kwazulu Natal (Durban Area for those who don’t know South Africa that well.).

The lodge is partially owned by one of America’s richest families the "Getty's". We flew from Johannesburg with small Cessna planes straight into the reserve.

After lunch and a some time to relax, we went on Safari. One of the areas in the reserve is called "Getty's Plain" , a vast area where usually an abundanceof game is found. Being quite Safari expert, I have never experience so much game in a Private Game Reserve! It was absolutely exceptional!.

We stayed 3 nights at the lodge and had a bush dinner, boma dinner (dinner in a round enclosure under the African Sky) and a white evening theme dinner. From Phinda we went to Zimbali Fairmont, a 5 star Golf resort at the Indian Ocean.

We ended off our "Once in a Lifetime Trip" with a Galadinner at one of the newest and most luxurious places in Durban. Good food and good wine with the Grand Piano playing in the background.
